Aside from the more popular IP’s this year I want to throw some love at the other houses and scarezones that are being featured. Don’t get me wrong, I could put together looks for Stranger Things, Chucky & The apart of us all day long. In fact, I’m having trouble really deciding what to wear on the nights that I attend. Below I have put together some less spooky looks, and more of a nod to the other houses. Hope you love them.
This look is a 50’s classic monsters look. The dress is a lightweight knit that is sure to keep you comfy at the park. Also, the flats are comfort walking ones, so leave the sneakers at home. I just love this Loungefly that I found at Hot Topic too. The earrings are from Etsy
Ok, I really had to dig for inspiration on this one. The Exorcist was one of those movies that scared the mess out of me as a kid. There were some really intense scenes, and even make me super squirrelly as an adult. Although the house this year is based on a yet-to-be released sequel, I am basing this look on the original. The shorts I found are flowy like a skirt which I love and kind of reminds me of a nun’s habit. The purse is super cool and really could go with any movie-themed house. Those along with the rosary style necklace are from Amazon. The earrings and button are from Etsy, and the shirt is from hot topic.
I for one love a girly look, but my beautiful wife prefers a button down any day of the week. This one is for her to support my The Last of Us obsession. I love this fungus & skull shirt from Hot Topic. I would definitely add the firefly patch to the cargo shorts to complete the look. She doesn’t carry a bag, that’s what I’m for, but I couldn’t resist that killer toadstool pin for some flair.
